A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §29-22-4a, relating to creating a West Virginia Lottery Advisory Board.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

    That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §29-22-4a, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 22. STATE LOTTERY ACT.

§29-22-4a. West Virginia State Lottery Advisory Board.

    (a) The West Virginia State Lottery Advisory Board is hereby created and will oversee, advise and report to the casinos the actions and regulatory determinations of the State Lottery Commission.

    (b) The board shall be made up of ten members, one member from Mountaineer Racetrack and Casino, one member from Wheeling Island Racetrack and Casino, one member from Charles Town Racetrack and Casino, one member from Mardi Gras Racetrack and Casino, one member from Greenbrier Resort and Casino and one member from each of the above casinos that is appointed by the union representing each facilities workers.

    (c) The provisions of this section may not alter, change or alienate the rights of any other association, organization or individual entitled to benefits under the provisions of this article.



 

    NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to create the West Virginia Lottery Advisory Committee to oversee the State Lottery Commission.
